Frequently Asked Questions

Rock League is curling’s first professional league, featuring six mixed-gender, globally based franchises in a multi-format competition built to push the sport into a new professional era.

The league’s six inaugural franchises - two in Canada (Maple United, Shield Curling Club), two in Europe (Northern United, Alpine Curling Club), one in Asia-Pacific (Typhoon Curling Club), and one in the U.S (Frontier Curling Club). - each feature 10 athletes: five women and five men.

Rock League hits the ice in April 2026 with a condensed debut season, offering fans an early look at its new formats, top-tier athletes, and entertainment-driven vibe. The first full season follows January-April 2027, delivering five weeks of premier international play.

With a mission to raise the level of competition, spark innovation, and connect curling communities worldwide, Rock League will showcase mixed doubles, mixed fours, and traditional four-person women’s and men’s play.

Taking place at TMU Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, the 2026 debut season serves both as the league’s official launch and a celebration of the sport, featuring a 7-day battle on the ice accompanied by interactive fan experiences and entertainment.
