Rock League set to deliver week-long fan experience with themed nights, entertainment and championship action

From Family Day and Tailgate Tuesday to Pride Night and Championship Sunday, Rock League is bringing a full week of on-ice competition and off-ice entertainment for fans of all ages.

From Family Day and Tailgate Tuesday to Pride Night and Championship Sunday, Rock League is bringing a full week of on-ice competition and off-ice entertainment for fans of all ages.

Rock League is set to deliver more than just elite curling when the league takes the ice April 6-12 at TMU’s Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto for its inaugural season, rolling out a full week of themed events, fan activations and community celebrations designed to bring supporters closer to the game.

Across seven days of competition, fans can expect a unique experience each day from family programming and tailgates to cultural celebrations, live music and giveaways, all leading to Championship Sunday.

Highlights include:

  • Spend Easter Monday (April 6) with the family at Rock League, with family-friendly activities that include face painting, sign-making stations, and a special autograph signing by Maple United captain Rachel Homan featuring her new children’s book, Curling ABCs
  • Rock League celebrates its Asian-Pacific communities on Wednesday, April 8, with Typhoon Takeover, featuring a post-game autograph signing by Typhoon Curling Club
  • Pride Night returns to TMU’s Mattamy Athletic Centre, featuring complimentary nail and makeup bars, drink specials, and music. First 150 in the door receive a Rock League t-shirt and a gift from Holo Taco
  • Fans take centre stage in Rock League’s floor curling tournament (Thursday-Sunday), featuring prizes and guest appearances by your favourite curlers. Click here for more information on the rules and how to sign up
  • Daily autograph signings, featuring curlers from all six Rock League franchises
  • After Saturday's noon match, Canada’s Paralympic gold medal wheelchair curling team will play an exhibition game, followed by a 3:30 p.m. celebration. After that match, there will be a fan experience recreating Mark Ideson's gold medal winning shot.

Music and entertainment throughout the week will be provided by The Rock Band. Featuring multiplatinum and Juno award-winning artist Jeremy Taggart, Andre Pettipas, and Eddy Ruyter, Rock League’s official house band will bring the vibes before, during and after the games.
